Aging

So, I went to the eye doctor today...and I need bifocals.  I thought that was for old people.  I guess that means I am old.  It will be 7-10 days before I get them...trying a new look too.  No more wire frames, going for the plastic frames that seem to be so popular these days...will post pics once I get the specs.

Thomas is getting new ones too and I will post pics of him in his new ones too.

Way to long...

I can't believe it has been since January that I have posted an update on the blog. Time sure does fly. The kids are really growing. Thomas and Kylea have both had birthdays this summer, Thomas entered into the Young Men's program at church and is now able to pass the sacrament; Kylea has been baptized, Joe is buying his first house. Mark is still the same, work, work, work and I only have 9 1/2 weeks of school left! Hard to believe.

Happy Birthday, Julie!

As most of you know, last September 18th, a very special and dear friend commited suicide. Yesterday was her 43rd birthday. I am grateful that I had to work 7am to 7pm as that kept me too busy to dwell on that fact that I couldn't call her and sing to her like I have done for the last 25 years. So, in remembrance of my beautiful friend, I found this picture that I thought you all might like to see. Julie Carolyn Jordan, myself, Kim Crowder Davison

This was the first time the 3 of us had been in the same room since, oh, I don't know, like the 9th grade or something...Anyway, it is one of my favorite pics. I hope that Julie knows how special she is to a lot of people she left behind and I hope she knows how much I love her.

Scrapbook Room

Well, here it is, almost 9 days into 2009 and I haven't posted a thing! So, I thought I would post pics of my newly organized scrapbook room. I can't believe how little time it takes for a room to get so messed up and HOURS to clean it up!!!

What a mess!!!!!
Angel likes to supervise!
And now....the finished product:

The drawers are full of my rubber stamps...way too many, that's for sure!
I wonder how long the room will look like this...I'll keep you posted on that one. LOL

Christmas 2008

Hard to believe another Christmas has come and gone. How fast time flies as you get older. We had a nice, quiet Christmas at home.

Hannah Montana interactive game for the Wii
is a big hit with Kylea!

Thomas loves his Tech Decks to go along with
the new Tech Deck Van he got.

Of course, it wouldn't be Christmas if there weren't clothes wrapped and
under the tree. Doesn't Kylea look excited?

And then there is Joe with his "leather
gloves lined in cashmere". Can you say
yuppie? (do they even say that expression
anymore?)

Well, even though Chrismas is over, we have the memories...

We hope you all have a wonder New Year!

Quite A Scare

The night before last, Mark gave me quite a scare. In the middle of the night I was awakened by a loud thud. I thought someone was trying to break into the house. Turns out it was Mark. He had "fainted"...passed out cold on the restroom floor. It was a scary scene and I won't gross you out with the details but here is a picture of the aftermath...
We are not sure what caused him to black out but the Dr doesn't think it is anything to worry about unless it keeps occuring. I am so thankful that it wasn't any worse.

It seems that everyone is into blogging these days so I thought I would give it a try. I am not one of writing many words (although I could probably talk your ear off in person), so this will be a real challenge for me. I hope you won't be disappointed. So, having said that, here are pictures of my family to get it started:

All of us....Christmas 2008

And the kids...

My three joys in life!

Joey is 21 (how did THAT happen???), Thomas is 11 and Kylea is 7
